Oh No, Not Them!

"Oh No, Not Them!" is a two-act comedy featuring the lives John and Amanda Smith.   The two have been married for eight years but have  never met each other's families, with the exception of Amanda's redneck brother, Bo.  Amanda feels that a type of family reunion should be held in the near future.  Asking Bo, to help her, he prematurely sends out invitations and they arrive unexpectedly on a leisure Saturday morning that John wanted to relax.  Deep family secrets are revealed as well one enormous shocker that turns the family upside down.  The show has been performed at the Forum Theatre and the former Jonesboro Dinner Theatre, both in downtown Jonesboro.  Above you will find a few pages from the script to sample as well as a few pictures from the premiere production at the Forum Theatre.  The script requires ten actors.

Starchild (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)

Starchild is a one-act, children's adventure.  It was originally titled "The Elder" and presented to the public during a KISS Fan Convention on Aug 15, 2009.  The script was based on the concept KISS recordings called Music From The Elder, released in 1981.  The play tells the story of a young homeless boy, and his journey to become a "true hero."  With the help of an elderly dream keeper called Morpheus, the boy journeys on an adventure to rescue an imprisoned King Criss, from his enemy, Lester Blackwell.  With the help of a council of elite, godly beings called The Elder, the boy learns to believe in himself to find the hero that lies within him.  The script requires 11 actors.  Photos are script samples, ground plan, set designs and performance pictures.

Studio Disco

Studio Disco premiered in July of 2008 at The Party Room in downtown Jonesboro.  Designed in an arena seating the musical script sends three women, who haven't spoken in over 30 years, back to relive their lives again in the year of 1979.  The scene was the hottest night club of its time, 222 Studio Disco, on a night of the discotheque's re-opening.  its a night to name the Disco King and Queen in a dance contest and that will make you wanna dance.  The show features few timeless classics and many original songs.  The script requires 13 characters and additional dancers are recommended.  Pictures above are script samples, sample of the DVD booklet and show photos.

LIFE AND FIRE (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)

Life and Fire is a dark, rock musical/opera based on the concept CD "Waiting On Alcatraz" by a Jonesboro-based band, Primal Apathy.  The story takes place in a town called Terrorville.  It features the life of Zoltan Betts, who recently released from prison, tries to land back on his feet and move towards a new direction in his life and his girlfriend, Kelly.  Once he returns, he is confronted with the abuse, reminders, and judgements he faced ten years before as a teenager.  Confronted by re-elected Mayor Edward Cavanaugh, Zolton discovers a hidden secret that he has searched for his entire life, when it is finally, too late for him.  The script requires eight actors.  Additional actors are recommended but not required for townspeople.
