GRAPHIC DESIGN / RENDERINGS
Production Posters/Advertisements
Another aspect I enjoy as an artist and theatre advocate is the love for graphic design. In theatre, like many things, advertising is a must. Community productions rely on posters which are distributed around town as well as being placed in publications. Above are some of the show posters I designed for FOA, Jonesboro Dinner Theatre, and Haunted House fundraisers. Also featured are collages I have created in memory of the productions which were posted in the theatre lobbies.
Freehand Pencil
Below are a few pencil portraits I have done in the past. The use of yellow pastel was added behind the first two to give a nice contrast to the pencil. Picture three was a portrait done by graphing a grid. Picture for was a recreation of a photo taken of Marilyn Monroe performing for the troops in Korea.
Paint
The first featured painting is my only attempt at oil painting. It is a portrait of a professional football player. The second shows my ability to texture marble. The marbled pattern was painting as a background on a 4x4 flat. The column was then added over pattern. The third is a feature done in a scenic design course creating a curtain on a 4x8 flat. The fifth is a smart part of a Winnie the Pooh themed mural which continued around all four walls of the 8 x 10 bedroom. The final is a mural of the Titanic which was featured in a bedroom. Unfortunately, a glare from the camera reflected between the iceberg and ship. Glow in the dark paint was added on highlighted areas to add a spark to the room.
Architectural Renderings
Around my occupations in music and theatre, I have spent 12 years as a CAD operator and artist for local architectural offices in the Jonesboro area. Above are some of the building renderings I created for the Greene County Library and Highland High School Multi-Purpose facility. In addition, you will see some of the home plans, elevations, and completed photographs I have proudly created and completed for two clients located in Jonesboro, Arkansas and Claremont, Oklahoma.
